Randy and Karen Brennan

Over the last 17 years, we have been involved in orphan care, Bible training, disciple-making, and church planting throughout Eswatini, Africa.

Missions in Africa, Inc. was founded in 2006.
It is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit charity.
All contributions are tax-deductible.

Our Growing Family

We are blessed to have our children serving the Lord on the mission field: Kay and our son-in-law and three grandchildren in Montenegro and Shelly in South Africa.

Our Heartbeat

Vision

Randy & Karen Brennan were called by the Lord in 2006 to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the nation of Eswatini (Swaziland), Africa. Their vision and purpose has been and continues to be:

“To make ready a people prepared for the Lord.” Luke 1:17

Orphan Care

“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress….” James 1:27

Eswatini, Africa has the highest rate of HIV/AIDS in the world at 46%. As a result, many children have lost one or both of their parents. The Lord is meeting this problem by establishing orphan homes. The Brennans have established 3 orphan homes to help meet this need.

Bible Training

“The things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others.” 2 Tim. 2:2

The Brennans founded the International School of Ministry Eswatini (ISOM) to facilitate Bible training throughout the nation of Eswatini. Bible training has been conducted in 45 different locations throughout the country. They have touched over 2,000 students with Christ-centered Bible-based training. Most of the students are in some form of church leadership.

Discipleship ~ Multiplication

Discipleship and multiplication has taken place through church-based training sites. Many students have taken our Discipleship Training material into their churches. We now have over 100 church-based training sites throughout the country ~ where dedicated leaders are raising up new leaders for the Kingdom!

“How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” Rom. 10:15

The Lord spoke to the Brennans in 2016 to be more intentional about bringing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to rural areas and establishing Christ-centered Bible-based churches. Through relationships that have been developed over years, 65 new churches have been planted. After the church is planted, there is an emphasis placed on discipling the new converts. Pastors are able to use our 14 Lesson Discipleship Course to help facilitate spiritual growth in the church.

Ministries

The Lord continues to direct us to elevate our eyesight, causing us to look at things through His eyes with a broader perspective. The Lord is giving us opportunities to minister the Word of God “to the nations!”

Bible Schools

The ISOM Bible School Classes have changed not only the pastor’s lives, but also the lives of those in their churches and communities.

Discipleship Classes

After the church was planted, Pastor Dlamini took her leaders through our 14 lesson Discipleship Course. Each student received a Certificate of Completion.

Church Plants

Through relationship with pastors, we have come together as the body of Christ to advance the Kingdom of God here by planting churches. From 2016 to 2023, we have planted 104 church plants.

Go

In the New Testament, all four gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John) tell us to “GO” “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” (Matt 28:19)

Pray

The New Testament clearly teaches that we are to “PRAY” for one another in Ephesians: “And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord's people." (Eph 6:18)

Give

The Bible teaches that the saints should give gladly, give freely, and give as they are able. “Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously." (2 Cor 9:6)

Prayer Requests

Please continue to pray for the Lord’s grace to abound to us as we minister here in Swaziland.

Pray that He continues to reveal Himself to people through the church plants.

Pray for those new believers as they go through the Discipleship course, and discover more and more about their relationship with the Savior.

Pray for each student in the ISOM Bible schools, that they get equipped to do the work of the ministry.
